Let’s compare what I hoped would happen in 2015 with what actually happened in 2015! *clears throat*

I’m going to split this into two parts.
The results for my blog, Beta Motivation.
And the results for myself, Kola
The results for my blog, Beta Motivation.
At the start of the year I had only two goals for this blog.
- Make it more personal – mission accomplished.
- I was able to post alot of personal trips, life lessons, and money habits that were working for me. I’d say this was a win in 2015
- Give 100% of proceeds to the Global Orphan Project – mission accomplished
- Through YouTube videos, How to Make a Blog that Makes a Difference, GoMAD Bracelets, and Advertising, this blog was able to donate a grand total of $ 955.60 to orphan care work in India.
Every time you share one of my blog posts, you are *literally* adding pennies to the pot and making a difference. So thank you for telling your friends about Beta Motivation!
The results for myself, Kola.
I had five goals for myself this year. Here’s how I did on each one.
- Save $X0,000 – mission accomplished.
- I was actually able to double my goal and start looking more seriously into the stock market.
- Travel to three new countries – mission accomplished.
- Be happy with my book launch – mission accomplished.
- My book, Story Story, launched with More than 50 five-star reviews including a glowing endorsement from a New York Times best-selling author. I was very happy.
- Make $X,000 every month – meh
- Some months, I hit my goal. Some months, I almost doubled my goal. And some months, I didn’t even come close.
- Be connected with the Spirit of God – meh
- Some days, I felt really connected to God. Other days, I just decided that I’m not Jesus and I was going to do whatever I liked. This is a work in progress, people.
So there we have it. My 2015 in a nutshell.
Your Turn
- Is there anything on my list of goals that you had/have had as a goal as well?
- What was one thing you really wanted to do in 2015?
- Anything surprising happen to you this year?

I like the fact that you mention it’s a work in progress. We are all a work in progress. When we allow that to sink in, we won’t beat ourselves up when we slip on our goals. Thanks for sharing.
Yup! Exactly! Totally agree with you, Iyabo
