❼ The Best Highlights of 2014 and the Vision for 2015

I just want to share with you some of the best highlights that have happened this year as well as the vision for 2015. Hope you like it.

For those of you that are new here,

Beta Motivation is a lifestyle blog for young adults that are passionate about making a difference.

I started making videos consistently in 2013 and, since then, so many amazing things have happened.

2013

2013 was the year that I launched the course, How to Make a Blog that Makes a Difference.

I was getting so many questions about that kind of course so I just jumped in and did it.

I was expecting that maybe 20 or 30 people would sign up.

Imagine my shock to find out  that over 100 people have signed up to date! (144 to be precise).

Do you know what happens to the money?

What you may not know about that course is that 100% of the proceeds goes toward education for orphans in different countries.

At any given time, if you want to know how much Beta Motivation has given toward orphan-related projects, you can go to this page and you’ll see it there.

The page is updated once a month around the second week of the month.

In a nutshell, 2013 was the year of new beginnings.

2014

If 2013 was the year of new beginnings then, 2014 was definitely the year of breakthroughs.

So many cool things happened in 2014.

Of course, one of the biggest things was having the opportunity to go to India.

Going to India was really neat, partly because I got to see the Taj Mahal and partly because it filled a void in my knowledge.

I’ve had the opportunity to get involved with orphan care in Nigeria, Haiti, Mexico, and alot of other places.

Going to India felt like the final piece that was missing in my understanding of how orphans are cared for in different parts of the world.

Another significant thing from 2014

2014 was also the year that I started selling the GoMAD bracelets.

For those of you that don’t know, the GoMAD bracelets are $10 and everytime someone orders a GoMAD bracelet, all of that money goes toward education for orphans.

You can see how much has been given on the same page I was talking about earlier.

Somebody even ordered from Canada (shout out to you Sore)!

Sidenote: I have to give a shout out to Mr. Beta Mo as well because he was the one that set up my Etsy store for me. I wasn’t going to do it.

I guess I just didn’t have enough faith at the time.

Fast forward to now and I’ve shipped to so many places. In fact, someone just ordered 2 today (shout out to you, Kathy!!)

And then I became an Ambassador

2014 was also the year that I was asked to become an Ambassador for the Global Orphan Project.

It’s such an amazing opportunity because it’s a great way for me to speak up and use my voice to help orphans in different countries.

There are so many cool things are happening with that so i’ll definitely be updating you as time goes on.

Just to give you a quick glimpse into what’s in store for 2015.

As you already know, my book is written.

I signed my contract this week and the book is now in the hands of my editor and the people doing the cover.

Hopefully, everything should be done by the end of this year.

Pre-orders will open in January and the book will be released officially on March 23.

The book will be available anywhere you would normally buy a book from – Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc. etc.

Something else that’s coming in 2015 *drumroll*

If you look in the sidebar, you’ll see that there are 5 categories of things I normally talk about on this blog.

I focus on these categories because I believe that these are the 5 core areas that are truly required for living a lifestyle of making a difference.

I intend to continue talking about these same categories in 2015 but from a much more personal angle.

So instead of saying “here are 5 ways to make more money”, I’ll talk about the 5 things I’m doing to make more money.

Instead of saying “here’s how you can get out of debt and pay off your student loans”, i’ll say “here are the 5 ways that I was able to pay off all my debt and pay off my student loans”.

I’m coming from this angle partly because I feel like I’m finally in a place where I know what’s working and what isn’t working. And partly because my sister always says that talk is cheap.

Talk is so cheap.

It’s so easy to tell people what to do.

It’s something completely different to say “hey. here’s what I’m doing and here’s how it’s worked out”

That’s the vision you guys.

2013 was the year of new beginnings

2014 was the year of breakthroughs

and I can just see 2015 being the year of bigger, better things.

So I invite you to come on this journey with me.
